Utilising a broad range of industry best-of-breed methods, our AWS DevOps Engineers build and operate SoftwareONE’s cloud infrastructure & automation platforms, ensuring global standards and architectural principles are applied. 

Working closely with multiple practice areas and stakeholders across our business, they focus on keeping us ahead of the curve, continuously improving our frameworks, methods, processes and tooling. As part of our acquisition strategy, our engineers work closely with new members of the SWO family, collaborating with like-minded engineers and architects on integrating and evolving exciting new capabilities.

• An excellent command of English, both written & spoken. Additional languages are a bonus! 
• Desire to build something new, innovative, and disruptive 

Knowledge, Experience, and Expertise 

• Deep expertise in building, automating, operating, and managing AWS environments; service provider, migration and transformation experience is a bonus 
• Ability to build and deploy micro services-based applications in cloud with Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment tools and processes 
• Comfortable sharing knowledge and opinions through both formal and informal methods 
• Automation, deployment & scripting experience with 2 or more of the following: Java, JavaScript, VBScript, Ansible, Perl, Bash, Shell, Python, CloudFormation/Terraform (pref both) 

• Experience managing AWS IAM in large environments would be valuable 
• You have a good understanding of modern application landscapes and their dependencies on the infrastructure platform 
• AWS Management Services experience (CloudWatch, ELB, EC2 autoscaling, CloudTrail and AWS Config), AWS workspaces, and AWS directory Services 
• Knowledge of common operating systems (Linux / Windows), networking, structured and unstructured datastores 
• Certified in at least one public cloud, ideally to Professional level. AWS DevOps certification is highly desirable
